Welcome to our latest newsletter on Belize2020 – you will quickly appreciate the remarkable efforts and accomplishments of the energetic volunteers in Belize and the US. Our outcomes have been real, measurable and meaningful. Collectively, we are grateful, enriched, and blessed to be a part of this positive endeavor. We are especially proud of the personal relationships that have formed. It’s unbelievable how things can change when we let God into our lives.
We held a large planning event at SLU this summer, called The Summit @SLU 2.0, and made excellent progress in defining our next 10 years. Our first planning summit was just over 10 years ago and it really got Belize 2020 off to a great start.
A special congratulations goes to Fr. Matt Ruhl SJ, pastor of St. Peter Claver Parish in Punta Gorda, Belize. Please see the story inside to learn about his ambitious fundraising activities.
Our Trivia Night was held on Saturday, November 15 at St. Louis University High School. This is our main fund raising event of the year, but we continue to solicit your help in donating whatever you can to support the Jesuit works in Belize. Please scan the QR code on the back page to help us with our important mission.
